Oliver Pollock gave about $1 billion in today's money to help the American cause and after the Revolutionary War ended he asked America for some financial reimbursement but he did not receive reimbursement. He was Jailed by Havana for his debt and Galvez visited him pledging his personal funds on Oliver's behalf and he was released, later America reimbursed Oliver.
